What data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored encrypted), language.
• Profile data you choose to add: photo, city and neighbourhood, languages, bio, skills.
• Activity: listings, exchanges, credit transactions, messages, reviews and reports.
• Technical data: IP address and browser of active sessions, for security.

Why

To provide the service (contract), keep the platform safe and prevent fraud (legitimate interest), and send the emails needed for exchanges. We do not sell data or show third-party advertising.

Who can see what

Your name, photo, city, languages, bio, skills, listings and reviews are visible to others. Your email address is never shown publicly. Messages are only visible to the two people in the exchange and, if a report requires it, to moderators.

Storage and processors

Data is stored in the EU. We use a transactional email provider to send notifications. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Ireland Ltd processes usage statistics (Google Analytics); data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long

While your account exists. After deletion we keep only what is required by law or needed to handle open reports, for at most 12 months.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to processing, by writing to hello@truek.xyz. You may also complain to the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

Cookies

Essential cookies: one to keep you signed in, one for the session and one to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, _ga and _ga_*, up to 2 years) are only set if you accept them; they give us aggregated statistics about how pages are used. We don\'t use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
